Trivia[]

  • The Shopping Mall is one of the oldest locations on Bin Weevils. Its origins go back to the pre 3D age, and was possibly named Punt's Apartments.
  • Throughout the years there has been changes to the shopping experience on Bin Weevils. In the pre 2010 Shopping Mall the Nest Shop sold nest items, plaza items, and nest rooms. The Bin Pet Shop was located next door. Tum's Diner was also located on the upstairs which was accessed via an elevator for Bin Tycoons.
  • Along with the game relaunch in 2010, the Shopping Mall went through a serious redesign. The Nest Shop was discontinued to make way for individual shops selling a variety of items (gadgets, furniture, wallpapers, bathrooms, cinemas, etc). The Garden Shop made its debut along with gardens and seeds. These shops were ran by Flem, Zing, Grunt, Tab, Fab, and Bunty. Fab's Floors & Walls made a later debut at the Shopping Mall after Bunty's Tycoon Shop was moved to the newly created Tycoon Plaza on Tycoon Island, a Bin Tycoon locked shopping experience.
  • In 2012, the smaller shops were discontinued and merged into two large department stores: Nestco and Bin Mart. These two department stores were ran by Gott and Kip and had an exterior and interior design. Nestco housed more deluxe items while Bin Mart sold cheaper discounted items compared to its counterpart next door. The two department stores had several categories and players no longer had to switch between individual shops to buy nest items. To shop players entered the department stores and clicked on the shopping screens. The Dosh currency was introduced for nest items, nest rooms, and Bin Pets.
  • The Shopping Mall exterior has received a few design changes. In 2010 it was made more brighter. In 2013 the Plaza Directory and Magazine Stand were updated with new designs. In 2015 the exterior was completely redesigned and made larger.
  • An ATM Machine is located on first floor of the Shopping Mall for Bin Tycoons to collect business earnings and salaries. This was added in 2012 along with the introduction of Bin Mart and Nestco. The second floor was changed in 2013 when the Tycoon Plaza on Tycoon Island was discontinued, leading to its shops relocating around the Bin. Garden Plots was relocated next door to the Garden Shop along with a new exterior design.
  • Several booths for Bin Tycoon parties and promotions for new item arrivals were added the first floor.
  • The Shopping Mall has been decorated for Halloween and Winter Wonderland. Temporary pop up shops selling virtual goods for Easter, Halloween, and Winter Wonderland are accessed on the first floor.
